I like the colors, the looseness of the line, and the lighting.... but I dislike the strands that hang from the door frame-- they look too unfinished. THere's so much texture/shading/detail in the rest of the piece, that they look out of place. Otherwise, I like it a lot!
Great style you used in this. Interesting way you did the light coming from the door. It looks like you did it with a sponge. Very traditional looking. You know how to use your colors as well as making good compoisiton. The best thing, like you said, is what really took place here. It looks like some incident happened in the room do its dishevelment look. The wallet caught my attention as wondering what role it plays in creating a story to this picture. The wine and candle gives me the idea of having to do with a relationship.
Some of the objects on the floor look like they are floating. Also on the left seat, I'm not sure the light violet highlights should be that intense for the distance it is from the light on the right. I would think the light from the door would have more of an influence on the highlight color, but I'm not sure.
